SP Gives Back

Fitness is a necessity for everyone. It is foundational for overall mental and physical health. So - no matter where you live in the world - YOU can be a part of this family.

"We are a no-nonsense, authentic, community committed to providing real people with the tools they need to take control of their fitness.”

The Street Parking program and community were designed from the very beginning to break down all barriers to fitness. Our aim has always been to provide a place and a program that is accessible no matter who you are. This program was made for those who can’t afford, don’t have access to, or don’t feel comfortable in a conventional or “box” gym. It was created for those who work odd hours, or perhaps two jobs. For those who are full time parents, or full time students. For those who have no fitness background, or those with years worth of experience. It has been built to provide high quality coaching and a social platform to motivate and support people from all walks of life - because to us fitness is not a luxury reserved for those with extra time and money.

Fitness is a necessity for everyone. It is foundational for overall mental and physical health. So - no matter where you live in the world - YOU can be a part of this family.

At the heart of the SP program is a community where support goes beyond daily encouragement and high fives. Since 2017, Street Parking has created relationships and connections with various teams and organizations that support or provide resources that reach beyond physical fitness tools, yet are just as vital. The SP Community is given the opportunity to participate in events and/or fundraisers if a member so desires.

We are grateful for the ways our community has given back to the following organizations:

Suffer With Friends

sufferwithfriends was created to show how exercise could be used as a coping mechanism for mental health and to openly and honestly discuss mental health in a way to remove the stigma. Through the community connection of SWF founder, Jess Schulz, SP Members regularly participate in the “Why Suffer Alone” fitness fundraiser.

Harlem Grown

Harlem Grown is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire youth to lead healthy and ambitious lives through mentorship and hands-on education in urban farming, sustainability, and nutrition. We operate local urban farms, increase access to and knowledge of healthy food for Harlem residents, and provide garden-based development programs to Harlem youth.Healthy habits start young, which is why our programs target elementary-aged students. Because food justice is more than just providing and distributing food, our model seeks to positively impact the entire community through mentorship, education, and partnerships to create sustainable change.

AlexStrong

A non profit organization established with the goal to support families and children affected by childhood cancer and created by longtime SP Member Chris Dexter in honor of one of our littlest SP heroes, Alex Dexter. Read Alex’s story and find out more about the work of AlexStronghere. SP members have the opportunity to participate in yearly AlexStrong fitness events including Alex’s memorial workout.

It Gets Better Project

Through the yearly “apparel with a purpose” EQUALITY collection, Street Parking members can choose to support the work of the It Gets Better Project, a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe.

Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run / Keala Foundation

More than just a yearly “fun run” in Hawaii, the UHTR is the largest annual fundraising event to benefit the Keala Foundation. The Keala Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating communities that support the youth of Hawaii. You can do this run on the island of Kaua’i or from your home as SP is the official host of the virtual UHTR.

Vetwod

A non profit organization whose purpose is to use fitness and community to cope with life issues that affect veterans, first responders, and the community-at-large. Street Parking donates a portion of the SP RED VET apparel collection to Vetwod and members have the opportunity to participate in yearly Vetwod fitness events.
